Luke 21:1-4
Today's reading is about the
widow's offering.
It teaches us that
God honors our gifts and most especially when
they come at high price for us.
Mary' gift was her reputation.
Joseph's as well, truth be told.
There must have been much
snickering behind their backs.
Mary knew all she had came from God
and would continue to come from Him.
Her baby himself was a gift.
Later in her life Mary makes another
extraordinary gift to God.
One at very high price.
Her baby himself.
Let's not forget the gift God has given us.
It comes at a very high price.
We should honor God's gift
as He does ours.
It's in our Christmas story.
It's our Christ story.
